New edition of the BRC Food Standard – Version 9

In early August 2022, BRC Global Standard announced the new—ninth—edition of the Food Safety Standard—the Food Safety and Quality Management System. This standard is a leader in the food industry, continuously refining requirements for participants to ensure food quality and safety at every stage of production.

New edition of the BRC Food standard – Version 9

Companies that currently hold a BRC certificate for Version 8 will retain it for the duration of its validity period. Certification to BRC Food Version 9 will begin on February 1, 2023.

The new edition of the standard and guidance dokumenty are available to certified facilities via BRCGS Participate. A free version of the standard is also available to all interested parties on the BRC website under the Store tab.
